TEESSIDE, UK – Representatives of The Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) and a selection of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors recently took to the stage at the Energy Industries Council’s (EIC) “Opportunities in Teesside” event to promote the supply chain requirements for the c.£4bn construction contracts related to the projects.
Representatives from supply chain companies across the region were given an update on the project and offered the opportunity to engage 1:1 with a selection of the EPC contractors – Balfour Beatty, Technip Energies and Costain.
“Events like this as what it’s all about – showing the local supply chain the opportunities available and giving them a chance to speak directly to the contractors.” said Graeme Mallows, Senior Project Manager for NEP. “We’ve been engaging with local suppliers throughout the project’s development and will continue to do so now we’ve reached the execution phase and have appointed our EPC partners.
The net zero transition represents a transformative economic opportunity for Teesside – helping redefine Teesside’s industrial legacy, ensuring the region remains at the forefront of sustainable innovation while contributing to the UK’s ambitious net-zero goals by 2050.
NEP announced financial close and entry into the execution phase in December 2024.
